monster mash roving and yarn

monster mash roving and yarn

Hand-dyed roving came from sarahwood3587.etsy.com! I'm spinning this with a top-whorl drop spindle, and it is coming out very well. This is a gift for someone who I think doesn't check this blog, so shhhhh, keep it a secret! ;)
I'm calling it "monster mash" for obvious-to-me reasons. The colours are even brighter in person!

Yes, the spinning is taking over a lot of my time, but it's all time that I HAVE to pay attention to other things. I did almost all of this during the season finale of LOST, for example. I can't pay as close attention to other things when I knit.
Loving this yarn! It is rambouillet combed top, and came in at 5.2 ounces. It is ridiculously soft and it will be difficult to give up!

Comments:
I see you're having fun spinning. It's something I always wanted to do, there's something magical bout it...I'll get a spinning wheel when I get a house :)! I love yarns and knitting is so relaxing, it's the only time I can think of nothing...

The colors are gorgeous!

Thank you, Tamara! I added your blog to my list to read, too - how can I resist cute kids and vegan yummies? ;)
